“Before I started working with Juana, I had been feeling unwell for a long, long time. Years ago I worked in an Airport, under the terminal, where I was exposed to heavy metals, toxic fumes and an overall unhealthy work environment. I had developed debilitating migraines and some lung issues. There had also been an addiction to methamphetamines prior to that. It created a cascade of health issues, that became more problematic with time. Allergies, headaches /migraines, weight problems, mood shifts, hot flashes even before menopause, to name a few. Even Breast Cancer last year, where the effects of radiation compounded my overall fatigue.
With the initial scan I felt energy moving in my body. Small sensations that were out of the norm for me. Nothing uncomfortable though. It took several days to begin seeing the benefit. I started coughing up phlegm. This was a parasite load being released from my lungs. Consistency changes in trips to the bathroom, which included more frequent trips. Eventually upon inspection within a week, there was definitely a purging happening that was visible.
Today, I feel more alert, awake and have more energy. Headaches are minor and less frequent, Breathing and taking deeper breaths is easier. Stomach and digestive issues have improved by 90%. I have an overall improvement. Hot flashes seem to be altering their intensity and frequency as well.

“Recently I reached out to Juana to help me resolve a heaviness and sadness that I have been carrying since my favorite aunt died in 2017. She had been sick for quite some time, so I flew to Brazil from California to be by her side. My Aunt was very special to me and when she fell ill and was in the hospital, I spent days advocating for her since she was deaf and dumb. There was some miscommunication with the nurses and somehow my aunt ate some food that she wasn’t supposed to.
Her death was very traumatic for me and I felt responsible for miscommunication with the nurses. Although I felt I had done my best, this event weighed heavily on my heart and caused me to doubt myself. Freedom from a Narcissistic Family
Even though today my heart feels expansive and I am able to process the difficult emotions that arise when unexpected change happens, some years ago my heart was shut down, frozen. I was disconnected from my emotions and from others, afraid to experience the grief and disappointment that comes when situations change and relationships end. You see, I was sent to live in the US from Brasil when I was 14 by my narcissistic father. The grief of losing all my friends, being away from my mother for the first time and having to adapt to a foreign culture was overwhelming and unbearable. My escape was food.
During the first year, I gained more than 50 lbs and became depressed. My body’s response was to halt my menstruation for an entire year. When I went home for Christmas, my mother did not even recognize me at the airport. This deep shame kept me from connecting with my lifelong friends. By the time I was in my early 20s I had already barricaded my heart. I used smoking to keep myself from feeling my emotions. When my mother developed cancer, she came to the Bay Area where I was living to do chemotherapy and radiation treatments.

“Juana Castanheira is the best energy healing practitioner. Living in the Bay Area, I have explored many types of alternative and healing practices. I was struggling with low white blood cell count.
